Surface Coatings
PAKITA sirens and motor parts are painted with anti-corrosion specialized surface coatings:
-Epoxy paints (used on the head of the siren (rotor, siren housing and hood). All types of colors RAL can be used on demand. We usually provide our PAKITA sirens painted with RAL 7035 (light Gray color). Parts are then incubated in the oven to give an enamel aspect.
-For an anti-saline protection paint: parts are painted with two layers of epoxy paints. The second layer being a RAL 7035 (light gray).
-For motor, (part that can not go in the oven), a red anti-rust paint is first applied, followed with a second and a third layer of epoxy paint using RAL 7035.
-Elevating bases are painted with 2 layers of paints (a primer then a RAL 7035).
-Anodized coat “Galva” paint (Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It provides also a better adhesion for primer paints and glues than does bare metals). Galva paint is used to cover and protect welding points or bended parts when manufacturing amplifier loudspeaker horns.
